Trade The Pool is a stock-trading prop firm. It sells simulated evaluations on US-listed stocks and ETFs and offers a funded account to traders who reach the target and pass the firm's trade review. Five Percent Online Ltd operates the brand, and trading runs on TraderEvolution, with Windows, web and mobile clients. This Trade The Pool review reads the program page, Program Terms, funded-phase page and Terms and Conditions as of October 6, 2026.
The program page sells Flex and Max evaluations, each in a Day and a Swing version. Day accounts run from $5,000 to $200,000 with a 6% target and cost $59 to $1,475 on Flex or $47 to $1,100 on Max. Swing accounts run from $2,000 to $40,000 with a 15% target and cost $87 to $1,240 on Flex or $69 to $800 on Max. Flex has no deadline; Max sets 60 days on Day and 100 on Swing. Funded traders keep 70% and can request a payout every 14 days. An Edge program in the FAQ costs $156 for $50,000 and $266 for $100,000.
Highlights and good to know
Highlights
- Flex has no evaluation deadline, while Max allows 60 days on Day accounts and 100 days on Swing accounts, so the time frame is a choice made at checkout.
- Entry fees start at $47 for a $5,000 Max Day account and $69 for a $2,000 Max Swing account, a one-time evaluation fee in US dollars, and the Program Terms state that funded accounts need no purchase beyond the evaluation cost.
- The plan tables list the PDT rule as not applying, and the Markets page says you can day trade with less than $25,000.
- The 24/5 session runs from Monday 3:00 am ET to Friday 8:00 pm ET, with a dedicated real-time feed from Blue Ocean covering about 3,500 symbols overnight.
- Swing accounts can hold positions overnight and over weekends in every size, and news trading is permitted according to the 24/5 FAQ.
- The profit split is 70/30 on every Flex and Max account, with a 14-day payout cycle, a $300 minimum ($150 on $5,000 accounts) and payments that usually take 3 to 5 business days.
- Each 10% of valid profit on a funded account raises buying power by 5% and the daily pause by 10%: the funded-phase page shows a $200,000 account moving to $210,000 and its daily pause from $4,000 to $4,400.
Good to know
- The evaluation is a simulated environment. After the target is reached, the firm's risk department reviews the trades, may ask for identity verification and may invite the trader to a video interview, which must be scheduled and held within 5 business days of the request.
- Day accounts are liquidated at 15:50 ET each day, 10 minutes before the close. New positions opened after the 4:00 pm ET close carry a reduced overnight exposure, such as $16,000 on a $100,000 account, until 15:50 ET the next trading day.
- A position counts toward profit when it gains at least 10 cents between average entry and exit and stays open at least 30 seconds, and an opening order may not exceed 5% of the previous one-minute volume in that stock.
- Overnight positions on a company reporting earnings that night are liquidated at 15:50 ET, and the trader must close positions before splits announced at least the day before and before a stock trades ex-dividend.
- The Terms and Conditions ask for users who are 18 or older, retail traders using personal accounts, and not resident in the listed Forbidden Territories. The Markets page states that US citizens can trade.
- The Terms allow a full refund within 5 days of purchase if no trading activity has occurred; after 5 days a refund can be requested as Hub Credit only. Each user can open one Demo Day and one Demo Swing account, each lasting two weeks.
- Flex accounts have a 14-day inactivity timeout in the evaluation and funded stages; Max accounts have one on funded accounts only (Program Terms).

Flex or Max, Day or Swing: the four setups side by side
Every plan combines two choices. Day accounts ($5,000 to $200,000) use a 6% target, a daily pause of 2% on Flex or 1% on Max, and a maximum loss of 4% on Flex or 3% on Max. Swing accounts ($2,000 to $40,000) use a 15% target, a 3% daily pause and a 7% maximum loss on both.
Flex and Max differ in time and activity. Flex has no deadline and asks for 10 positions on Day or 5 on Swing. Max asks for 20 on Day or 5 on Swing, inside 60 days on Day or 100 on Swing (calendar days in the Program Terms). On Flex the best position may not exceed 50% of the profit target, on Max 30% during the evaluation: on a $3,000 target, that is $1,500 and $900.
A $100,000 Day account in dollars
A $100,000 Flex Day account costs $545. The 6% target is $6,000, the 2% daily pause is $2,000 and the 4% maximum loss is $4,000, so the stop-out sits at $96,000. The Program Terms use these figures for a further rule: once equity reaches three times the daily pause in profit ($106,000 here), the stop-out moves up to the starting $100,000.
The $100,000 Max Day account costs $435, with a $1,000 daily pause (1%) and a $3,000 maximum loss (3%). The stop-out starts at $97,000 and moves to $100,000 at $103,000 of equity. The target is still $6,000, but the best position may contribute at most $1,800 of it, and the evaluation needs 20 positions rather than 10.
When the daily pause triggers, positions and orders are closed and trading resumes the next trading day; the system may offer a reset worth another daily-loss amount. Reaching the maximum loss ends the account.
What counts as a valid trade
Profit counts when a position gains at least 10 cents between average entry and exit and, on Flex and Max, stays open at least 30 seconds between each opening and the next closing execution. The FAQ notes that the dashboard rounds to the second, so a trade shown as 30 seconds can still be invalidated.
Opening orders, including partial entries and several orders in the same minute, may not exceed 5% of the previous one-minute candle's volume. Opening a Swing position to hold overnight requires the stock to have traded an average of at least 500,000 shares a day over the previous 14 calendar days. The per-share fee is half a cent with a $0.75 minimum per filled order. Options, contracts and index futures are not offered; index ETFs such as QQQ and SPY are.
Hours, exposure and the overnight session
Day accounts are liquidated at 15:50 ET. After the 4:00 pm ET close, new positions use a reduced exposure of $800 on a $5,000 account, $4,000 on $25,000, $8,000 on $50,000, $16,000 on $100,000 and $32,000 on $200,000, held until 15:50 ET the next trading day. Swing accounts keep full exposure around the clock.
The 24/5 session runs from Monday 3:00 am ET to Friday 8:00 pm ET. Overnight trading goes through Blue Ocean, an alternative trading system with its own real-time data. With Overnight Execution switched off, limit-type orders execute outside regular hours; with it on, market and stop orders work on Blue Ocean instruments. Positions on a company reporting earnings that night are liquidated at 15:50 ET, and news trading is permitted.
From funded account to payout and scaling
The split is 70% to the trader and 30% to the firm. A payout can be requested 14 days after funded trading begins and every 14 days after, with at least $300 of profit in the account ($150 on $5,000 accounts). Payments by wire, cryptocurrency, Hub credits or card usually take 3 to 5 business days; large approved payouts can be paid in weekly installments of up to $10,000.
Flex payouts also need 3 profitable days of 0.5% or more within 14 days, which is $50 a day on a $10,000 account; Max accounts do not carry that requirement. Payout and scaling requests need 5 trades on Swing, 10 on Flex Day and 20 on Max Day. Funded Max Day has no consistency rule for payouts, while Max Swing uses a 70% best-position cap against 50% on Flex.
Each 10% of valid profit scales the account. The funded-phase page shows $200,000 becoming $210,000, with the daily pause moving from $4,000 to $4,400; the Program Terms show a $20,000 profit becoming a $224,000 starting balance ($210,000 tier balance plus $14,000, which is 70% of the profit). The new account stays locked for a review of up to 3 business days.
The Edge program in the FAQ
The program page's FAQ describes an Edge program in two sizes: $50,000 for $156 and $100,000 for $266. The target is 6% ($3,000 and $6,000) with no consistency rule in the evaluation, the maximum drawdown is 4%, and the end-of-day Daily Loss limit is 2.5% on $50,000 and 1.8% on $100,000. Reaching that limit disables the account permanently, unlike the daily pause, which stops trading for the day.
After a successful review, a Pro-stage account is created. The first withdrawal opens at 4% profit ($2,000 and $4,000), later ones at 1% on $50,000 or 1.5% on $100,000. The split is 80/20, the minimum payout is $500 and each withdrawal is capped at $1,500 and $2,000. Pro accounts have a 40% consistency rule and no scaling. The FAQ gives these figures without naming a Day or Swing format.
Verdict
Trade The Pool fits a trader who wants US stocks and ETFs, a small entry fee and a choice of time pressure. Flex suits someone who prefers no deadline and works with a 50% best-position cap and the 3-days-of-0.5% payout condition. Max suits someone who can finish within 60 days on Day, wants fees from $47 and prefers no payout consistency rule on Day. Swing adds overnight and weekend holding with a 15% target. Read the Program Terms beside the plan table: they define how trades and payouts are counted.
