Bulenox is a futures prop firm run by Bulenox LLC, registered in Wilmington, Delaware. It sells three routes to a funded Master Account: the Qualification evaluation, the lower-priced Momentum program, and Fast Track, which has no qualification stage at all. Every price on its pricing page is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

What sets Bulenox apart is a choice you make at checkout. You pick a Trailing risk model, which tracks your account in real time with no daily loss limit. Or you pick End-of-Day, which moves once a day but adds a daily loss limit. You choose at purchase, and for the Qualification account Bulenox states the choice is locked, so it matters more than the account size you pick.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • All three programs are one-time purchases, and Fast Track states no activation fee and no monthly fee.
  • Momentum is the cheapest entry, from $94 for a $25K account, and its Master stage is activated free of charge.
  • The first $10,000 you withdraw is 100% yours; after that the split is up to 90%.
  • News trading is explicitly allowed: CPI, FOMC and NFP come with no blackout windows, no forced position closing and no penalties.
  • No minimum trading days in the Qualification and Momentum stages, and none before the first Fast Track payout.
  • Payout requests on Fast Track and Momentum are processed the same day.

Cons

  • The risk model is picked at purchase, and the Trailing model counts open positions in real time, so an unrealized gain can raise your drawdown floor.
  • For the Qualification route, the Master activation fee, consistency rule and payout frequency aren't clearly published.
  • Momentum Master requires 5 qualifying profitable days and a 35% consistency rule in every payout cycle.
  • Bulenox lists one drawdown figure per account size while saying the drawdown follows the chosen risk model, so the exact figure per model isn't clear.
  • Qualification access lasts 30 days, Rithmic professional data is listed at $116 a month, and third-party algorithms need management approval.

Who Bulenox suits

Bulenox fits futures traders who want to pay once and who already know how they handle drawdown. The choice between its two risk models shapes the account more than the size does, so it rewards traders who can describe how they trade before they buy.

News traders get clear terms. Bulenox says CPI, FOMC and NFP releases come with no blackout windows, no forced position closing and no penalties. Market coverage is broad as well: 41 futures contracts on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, including Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether.

Check your platform before paying. Bulenox claims more than 20 supported platforms, but only 12 names were clearly readable on its site when the rules were checked. They include NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, Quantower and R | Trader Pro.

Trailing vs End-of-Day: how the drawdown actually works

The two risk models change two things at once: how the drawdown moves and whether a daily loss limit applies. On the Trailing model, the drawdown is tracked in real time, open positions included, and there is no daily loss limit. On the End-of-Day model, the drawdown moves once a day based on realized profit, and a daily loss limit applies.

Take a $50K Qualification account, with a $3,000 profit target and a drawdown of up to $2,500. Assume the full $2,500 applies, so your floor starts at $47,500. On the Trailing model, an open trade that reaches $1,000 in profit pulls the floor up to $48,500 at that moment. If the trade comes back and you close at breakeven, your balance is $50,000 again, but you only have $1,500 of room left.

On the End-of-Day model, that same round trip leaves the floor at $47,500, because only realized profit at the end of the day moves it. The price is a $1,100 daily loss limit on the $50K Qualification account. Lose that much in one session and trading pauses for the rest of the day, even if the overall drawdown still has room.

One caveat. Bulenox shows a single drawdown figure per size while saying the drawdown follows the model you choose. The example uses the listed maximum, so confirm the exact figure for your model before you pay.

What Bulenox really costs

All three programs are one-time payments. At $50K, the list prices are $143 for Momentum, $175 for Qualification and $488 for Fast Track. The site runs promotional banners, so the checkout price can be lower than these list prices.

Extra fees are where the picture gets less clear. Fast Track states there's no activation fee and no monthly fee, and the Momentum Master stage is activated free of charge. Qualification also leads to a Master Account, but Bulenox doesn't clearly publish the activation fee for that step.

Two more items belong in your budget. Qualification access is valid for 30 days, so plan to reach the target inside that window. Bulenox also lists Rithmic 'professional' market data at $116 a month, which is worth checking against your own data status.

Payouts and profit split

All three programs share the same split. The first $10,000 you withdraw is 100% yours, and after that you keep up to 90% of profits. Until your withdrawals add up to $10,000, the split doesn't reduce what you receive.

Payout timing depends on the program. Fast Track lets you request a payout on any trading day, processed the same day, with no minimum trading days before the first one. Momentum payouts are also processed the same day, but the Momentum Master stage requires 5 qualifying profitable days and a 35% consistency rule in each payout cycle.

The Qualification route is the least documented. Bulenox doesn't clearly publish a payout frequency or a consistency rule for it. Whichever route you take, you can hold up to five Master-level accounts at the same time.

Rules that catch traders out

Open positions count on the Trailing model. As the example above shows, a winning trade that reverses can shrink your room even if you close it at breakeven. If you let trades run through wide swings, that matters more than the headline drawdown number.

The End-of-Day model on Fast Track and Momentum comes with lower contract limits: 2, 4, 8 or 12 contracts by size, instead of 3, 7, 12 or 15. Picking the smoother drawdown costs you size. Trading is also allowed only until 15:59 CT.

Automation is tightly restricted. Bulenox's Terms of Use class 'scalping' algorithms, the DTC Protocol Bridge API and automated discretional trading as service abuse. Any third-party algorithm must be approved by Bulenox management.

Some details aren't clearly published. Bulenox doesn't clearly state a weekend holding rule, and its FAQ answers load dynamically and couldn't be read when the rules were checked. Ask support about anything marked unclear here before you trade.

Qualification, Momentum or Fast Track: which program fits

Momentum is the cheapest way in at $25K and $50K, at $94 and $143, and the Master stage is included. The cost shows up later, in the 5 qualifying profitable days and 35% consistency rule attached to every payout cycle.

Qualification is cheaper than Momentum at the larger sizes: $215 against $248 at $100K, and $325 against $358 at $150K. Its listed drawdown is bigger at the small end ($1,500 against $1,000 at $25K) and smaller at the large end ($3,000 against $4,000 at $100K). Read the Master Account terms first, since its activation fee and payout rules aren't clearly published.

Fast Track costs almost three times as much as Qualification at $50K, but there's no qualification stage. You work toward a first payout goal of $3,000 on that size, with no minimum trading days, no activation fee and same-day payout processing. It suits traders who would rather pay more upfront than sit through an evaluation.

Verdict

Bulenox makes the most sense for futures traders who want one-time pricing, trade around economic releases, and are ready to commit to one risk model at checkout. Momentum suits cost-conscious traders who can string together steady profitable days, and Fast Track suits those who would rather pay more to skip the evaluation. Look elsewhere if you rely on third-party algorithms, need a published weekend holding rule, or want every Master Account fee spelled out before you buy.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bulenox have a daily loss limit?

It depends on the risk model you choose at purchase. The Trailing model has no daily loss limit. The End-of-Day model does: on the Qualification account it is $500, $1,100, $2,200 or $3,300 by size, and hitting it pauses trading for the day. Fast Track and Momentum use slightly different End-of-Day limits, and the $25K Fast Track account has none.

Is Bulenox a one-time fee or a monthly subscription?

All three programs are listed as one-time payments. Fast Track states no activation fee and no monthly fee, and Momentum Master is activated free. The activation fee for the Master Account after Qualification isn’t clearly published. Separately, Bulenox lists Rithmic ‘professional’ market data at $116 a month.

How much profit do you keep at Bulenox?

The first $10,000 you withdraw is 100% yours. After that, Bulenox advertises a split of up to 90% of profits.

Can you trade news at Bulenox?

Yes. Bulenox states that CPI, FOMC and NFP releases have no blackout windows, no forced position closing and no penalties.

Are there minimum trading days at Bulenox?

There are none in the Qualification and Momentum stages, and Fast Track has no minimum before the first payout. The Momentum Master stage requires 5 qualifying profitable days in each payout cycle, along with a 35% consistency rule.

Can you use trading bots at Bulenox?

Only within tight limits. The Terms of Use class ‘scalping’ algorithms, the DTC Protocol Bridge API and automated discretional trading as service abuse, and any third-party algorithm must be approved by Bulenox management.
