Orion Funded, run by Orion Global FZCO, sells five simulated forex programs on MT5 and MatchTrader: Orion Zero (funded on purchase), Orion Standard and Orion Swing (two phases), Orion Select (three phases) and Orion Nova (one phase, paid in two steps). Accounts are demos on fictitious funds, rewards are paid in real money based on results, and no evaluation has a time limit.
Entry prices run from a $7 Nova registration fee and $49 on Standard or Swing to $59 on Select and $199 on Zero, up to $1,149 on Zero's $100,000 account. Daily loss limits run from 3% to 5%, maximum drawdown from 5% to 8%, and rewards come every 14 days at an 80% split. The firm also states a fee-return commitment and a 48-hour reward-timing commitment, covered below.
Highlights and good to know
Highlights
- Orion Nova starts at a $7 registration fee at every size, with the activation fee ($69 on $5,000 up to $1,099 on $200,000) due after passing.
- Orion Zero is funded on purchase with no profit target, from $199 for $5,000 to $1,149 for $100,000.
- No evaluation has a time limit, and Standard, Swing and Select have no best-day rule.
- Overnight and weekend holding is permitted on every program, in both evaluation and funded phases.
- Standard and Swing share one price list, from $49 for $5,000 to $1,149 for $200,000; Swing carries an 8% maximum drawdown and a 5% daily limit.
- Rewards run on a 14-day cycle with no waiting period before the first request, an 80% split and 90% under the Scaling Plan, paid through Rise Pay in local currency or crypto.
- The firm states that the original program fee is returned in full on the fourth successful withdrawal, on all programs.
Good to know
- After the last phase and KYC (due within 30 calendar days of passing), a third-party entity reviews the application and may offer a contract; the help center says the decision can take up to 1 to 2 business days.
- Closed profit counts toward a target, and all trades and pending orders must be closed before a phase is evaluated; the next phase then starts automatically.
- An evaluation starts on the first trade, not at purchase, and an account expires after 30 consecutive calendar days without a trade, evaluation or funded.
- Swap and per-lot charges count toward the daily loss limit on the day they are charged, and swap-free accounts are not offered as a standard option on any program.
- Total allocation across a trader's active accounts is $400,000 before scaling and $4,000,000 after, with one Client Section per person.
- The help center describes the Zero and Nova drawdown as a trailing lock, and this review follows that description.

Instant, two-phase, three-phase or pay-after-pass: how the five programs divide
The split is about when you pay and how many targets stand between you and a funded account. Orion Zero has no evaluation: the account is funded on purchase, with a 6% maximum drawdown, a 3% daily limit and no profit target. Standard and Swing have two phases, Select three, and Nova a single phase paid in two steps.
Targets separate the programs: Standard asks 6% then 6%, Swing 8% then 5%, Select 5%, 5% and 5%, Nova 4%. On $100,000 the first-phase target is $6,000 on Standard, $8,000 on Swing, $5,000 on Select and $4,000 on Nova.
At $100,000 the fees are $1,149 for Zero, $629 for Standard or Swing, $409 for Select, and $7 plus a $669 activation fee for Nova. Standard, Swing and Select each require 4 trading days.
Daily loss at 00:00 UTC, worked through on a $50,000 account
Orion measures the daily loss limit from the greater of the previous day's closing balance or closing equity, and the day resets at midnight UTC. Realized losses, floating losses in real time, swap and per-lot charges all count; if a floating loss pushes equity below the threshold, even briefly, the account closes.
On a $50,000 Standard account the limit is 3%. If yesterday closed at a $50,000 balance and $50,600 equity, the baseline is $50,600, the allowance is $1,518 and equity must stay above $49,082. If it closed at a $50,000 balance with $49,700 equity, the baseline is $50,000 and the allowance is $1,500. A position $1,000 under water plus $40 of swap and per-lot charges, against the $50,600 baseline, has used $1,040 and leaves $478.
On a flat $50,000 baseline the allowances are $1,500 on Zero and Standard, $2,500 on Swing and Select, and $2,000 on Nova in evaluation or $1,500 funded. Drawdown floors on that size are $47,000 (Standard, Zero at the start), $46,000 (Swing, Nova in evaluation, at the start) and $47,500 (Select, funded Nova, at the start). Standard, Swing and Select floors are static; the help center describes Zero and Nova as a trailing lock that follows the balance up and locks at the funded starting balance after the first approved payout.
Standard and Swing: one price list, two sets of limits
Standard and Swing cost the same at every size, from $49 for $5,000 to $1,149 for $200,000, so the choice is about rules. Standard: 6% and 6% targets, 6% maximum drawdown, 3% daily limit, 1:100 forex leverage. Swing: 8% and 5% targets, 8% maximum drawdown, 5% daily limit, 1:30 forex, 1:15 indices and 1:9 metals.
On $100,000 that is a $94,000 floor and a $3,000 daily allowance on Standard against $92,000 and $5,000 on Swing. Overnight and weekend holding is permitted on every program, so the difference sits in the numbers and in news handling: once funded, Standard has a 2-minute window around high-impact events with no opens, closes, modifications or stop orders, and Swing has no news window.
Nova: $7 to start, the activation fee after passing
Orion Nova charges a $7 registration fee at every size from $5,000 to $200,000, and the activation fee is due after passing: $69 / $109 / $209 / $349 / $669 / $1,099 (5K / 10K / 25K / 50K / 100K / 200K). The pages list the two payments separately and do not say whether the $7 is credited against the activation fee; added together: $76 / $116 / $216 / $356 / $676 / $1,106.
The evaluation is one phase with a 4% target, an 8% maximum drawdown and a 4% daily limit, no minimum trading days and no best-day rule; on $50,000 that is a $2,000 target against a $46,000 floor. The funded account uses a 5% maximum drawdown ($47,500 floor on the same size) and a 3% daily limit, and a 20% best-day rule applies to reward requests. Leverage follows the higher tier (1:100 forex), and funded Nova carries the 2-minute news window.
Reward cycles: 14 days, a 3% cushion and the best-day rule
Rewards run on a cycle of 14 calendar days; the next window opens 14 days after each approved reward. No initial waiting period applies: a first request can go in once the account is in simulated profit with no open positions, subject to the program's rules, and trading pauses until Orion responds. Payments go through Rise Pay, in local currency or crypto, after a one-time connection of the Rise account.
The split is 80% from the first eligible request and 90% under the Scaling Plan: a 15% return in a rolling 3-month period, at least 2 of every 3 months positive and at least 3 reward requests, after which the balance rises 25% (a $100,000 account becomes $125,000). Reviews run every 3 months, with a $4,000,000 allocation ceiling. On $2,000 of profit, 80% is $1,600 and 90% is $1,800.
Zero, and Nova once funded, add two conditions. The first 3% of profit is a cushion that cannot be requested, and the best profit day cannot exceed 20% of total simulated profit in the reward cycle. With $2,000 of profit in the cycle the best day can be $400; a $700 day holds the request until cycle profit reaches $3,500. Standard, Swing and Select have no best-day rule.
What the firm states about fee return and late rewards
The payments help article says that on your fourth successful withdrawal from a funded account, your original program fee is refunded in full, and that this applies to all programs; the how-it-works article words the trigger as 4 reward requests. The plan cards of Zero, Standard, Swing and Select carry a 100% refund label; the Nova cards do not, and the pages do not say which Nova payment counts as the program fee.
On timing, the Orion Zero page says that if Orion misses the 48-hour payout processing deadline, you receive 100% of the Reward Split plus the full value of your evaluation. The help center words the same commitment this way: an approved reward not processed within 48 hours of approval entitles you to 100% of that cycle's reward plus a full return of your program fee, claimed by contacting Orion, with the 48 hours pausing for weekends and public holidays, bank or payment-processor delays, network maintenance, compliance, risk, fraud or source-of-funds reviews, and incomplete payment details.
A separate right to withdraw runs for 14 days from purchase, without giving a reason, provided the first simulated trade has not been opened; the fee is then refunded within 30 days to the original payment method.
Verdict
Orion Funded fits a trader who wants to choose how the fee is paid: all upfront on Standard, Swing or Select, a $7 start with the activation fee after passing on Nova, or a funded account on day one with Zero. Swing suits wider limits (8% drawdown, 5% daily) and no funded news window; Standard suits 1:100 forex leverage; Select is priced below Standard and Swing from the $10,000 size up ($89 to $739) across three 5% steps. Weekend holding is permitted everywhere and no evaluation has a deadline. Check the daily loss baseline before picking a size.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Orion Nova cost?
Orion Nova charges a $7 registration fee at every size. The activation fee is due after passing: $69 / $109 / $209 / $349 / $669 / $1,099 for 5K / 10K / 25K / 50K / 100K / 200K accounts. The pages do not say whether the $7 is credited against it.
What is the Orion Funded daily loss limit?
It is 3% on Zero and Standard, 5% on Swing and Select, and 4% on Nova in evaluation and 3% once funded. It is measured from the greater of the previous day’s closing balance or equity, resets at 00:00 UTC, and counts floating losses, swap and per-lot charges. A breach closes the account.
Can you hold trades over the weekend at Orion Funded?
Yes. Orion states that holding overnight and over weekends is permitted on every program, in evaluation and funded phases, with no rule forcing trades closed at the end of the day. Swap charges apply overnight and count toward the daily loss limit; swap-free accounts are not offered as a standard option.
What is the difference between Orion Standard and Orion Swing?
They share one price list ($49 for $5,000 to $1,149 for $200,000). Standard has 6% and 6% targets, a 6% maximum drawdown, a 3% daily limit and 1:100 forex leverage. Swing has 8% and 5% targets, an 8% maximum drawdown, a 5% daily limit, 1:30 forex leverage and no news window once funded.
How often does Orion Funded pay rewards?
Every 14 calendar days, with no waiting period before the first request, which can go in once the account is in simulated profit with no open positions, subject to the program’s rules (Zero and funded Nova also apply a 3% cushion and a 20% best-day rule). The split is 80%, or 90% under the Scaling Plan. Rise Pay pays in local currency or crypto.
When does Orion Funded return the program fee?
The payments help article says the original program fee is refunded in full on the fourth successful withdrawal from a funded account, on all programs. A reward not processed within 48 hours of approval carries 100% of that cycle’s reward plus the fee, if claimed. A 14-day withdrawal right applies before a first trade.
Does Orion Funded allow news trading?
Around high-impact news, evaluations have no timing limits. On funded accounts, Standard, Select and Nova have a 2-minute window with no opens, closes, modifications or stop orders; Zero pays a 50% split on trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of an event; Swing has no window. News trading as a strategy is never allowed.
