Highlights and good to know

Highlights

  • No daily loss limit on Express to Live, Fundamental or Premium: the loss rule is the drawdown, static at $500 to $1,000 on Express to Live and end-of-day trailing at $2,500 to $4,500 on Fundamental and Premium.
  • Express to Live has no minimum trading days on the Rules page and the Terms of Use, and no consistency rule, with evaluation fees of $88 / $278 / $318 / $398 on the 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K sizes.
  • Premium allows overnight and over-week positions, needs 1 trading day to pass and spaces withdrawal requests 5 trading days apart, against 10 on Fundamental.
  • Premium's split rises from 75% on the first payout to 100% from the fifth; Fundamental pays a flat 80%.
  • The one-time payment includes the evaluation and the Cash account with no activation fee: $580 for a Fundamental 50K, $723 for a Premium 50K, $277 for an Express to Live 25K.
  • Contract ceilings reach 17 minis or 170 micros on the 150K Fundamental and Premium accounts, and the monthly evaluations carry no maximum number of days per the help center FAQ.
  • The accounts page states that 90% of payouts are processed in under 30 minutes and always within 24 hours; news trading and copy trading, third-party software included, are allowed.

Good to know

  • Overnight rules differ by product: Express to Live allows no overnight or over-week positions, Fundamental requires every position closed by 9:59 PM UTC (the French help center page gives 8:59 PM UTC), and Premium allows overnight and over-week positions.
  • Evaluation accounts are virtual. The Cash account is a virtual currency account paid by the company, the Live account is funded with the company's real money, and the terms reserve the company's right to replicate trades on real markets.
  • Withdrawals go from the Phidias Wallet to a Rise (Riseworks) account. The Rules page lists a $500 minimum withdrawal on Fundamental and Premium, and the Terms of Use state $1,000.
  • The Rules page states no returns, refunds or exchanges for subscriptions. A restricted-country list appears on the Rules page and the Terms of Use, and the firm states that it can change at any time.
  • Per-side fees on the Rules page are $2.20 for ES and $0.79 for MES on Rithmic, and $2.68 and $0.75 on Tradovate and NinjaTrader, which the firm calls indicative. CME top-of-book data is free for non-professionals; Rithmic depth is $16 a month per exchange or $46 for all four.
  • Funded accounts are capped at 15 in total: 5 Fundamental Cash, 5 Premium Cash and 5 Express to Live Cash or Live accounts, with 4 at the 150K Cash size (2 Fundamental, 2 Premium). Evaluation accounts have no limit.

The three-product ladder and where each rule changes

The three products differ in loss room and in when the account has to be flat. Express to Live (E2L) is the compact one: a static drawdown of $500 / $650 / $800 / $1,000 on the 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K sizes, profit targets of $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500, no minimum trading days (Rules page and Terms of Use) and a ceiling of 2 / 5 / 7 / 9 minis. Fundamental and Premium share one rule set on 50K / 100K / 150K: targets of $4,000 / $6,000 / $9,000, an end-of-day trailing drawdown of $2,500 / $3,000 / $4,500 and 10 / 14 / 17 minis (100 / 140 / 170 micros).

What separates Fundamental from Premium is the schedule around those numbers. Fundamental needs 3 trading days to pass, closes every position by 9:59 PM UTC, pays an 80% split and spaces requests 10 trading days apart. Premium needs 1 trading day, allows overnight and over-week positions, spaces requests 5 trading days apart and raises its split from 75% to 100% by the fifth payout. Premium also carries a qualified reset of $399 / $499 / $599, usable once per Cash account within 24 hours of liquidation.

Working the end-of-day floor on a $100,000 account

Take a 100K Fundamental or Premium account with its $3,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown. The threshold starts at $97,000 and is recalculated at the close of each trading day; Phidias states that it does not change during the day. If the account closes a day at $101,500, the floor for the following sessions is $98,500 ($101,500 minus $3,000).

The Rules page states that the end-of-day drawdown persists until the evaluation ends. On a funded Cash account it stops at $100,100 on the 100K size and at $50,100 on the 50K size. Read against the $3,000 trail, the floor reaches that stop once an end-of-day balance of $103,100 has been recorded. The same $100,100 is the balance a 100K Cash account cannot fall below after a payout.

Express to Live works the other way round. The 100K E2L has a static $800 drawdown: the account is liquidated if the balance reaches or falls below $99,200, a line that never moves up. The target ($3,500 against $6,000) and the contract ceiling (7 minis against 14) are smaller too.

Monthly billing against one payment, month by month

Fundamental and Premium on the evaluation route are billed every month until the account passes or is cancelled, with an activation fee of $149 / $149 / $169 (50K / 100K / 150K) charged once on passing. The one-time payment includes the evaluation and the Cash account with no activation fee: Fundamental $580 / $723 / $863, Premium $723 / $900 / $1,123, Express to Live $277 / $723 / $900 / $1,125. The drawdown, targets, contract limits, minimum days and overnight rules are the same on both routes.

On the 100K Fundamental the monthly route totals $422 after one month ($273 plus the $149 activation fee), $695 after two and $968 after three, against $723 once, so it passes the one-time price in month three. The 50K crosses at the same point ($477 after two months, $641 after three, against $580). Premium crosses a month earlier: on the 100K, $560 after one month and $971 after two, against $900.

Express to Live has no monthly meter. On the 50K the evaluation fee plus the activation fee is $278 plus $149, or $427, and on the 100K $318 plus $149, or $467, against one-time prices of $723 and $900. On the monthly route, evaluation resets on Fundamental and Premium are listed at $40 / $64 / $104 (50K / 100K / 150K); no reset price is published for the one-time route. The Rules page lists a 30-day automatic reset for all accounts; the Terms of Use exclude Express to Live evaluations.

Winning days, the 30% rule and the Premium split ladder

A withdrawal from a Fundamental or Premium Cash account passes four gates. Time: 10 trading days between requests on Fundamental and 5 on Premium, where a day counts if it shows at least $150 / $200 / $250 of profit on the 50K / 100K / 150K size. Balance: at least $52,600 / $103,700 / $154,500. Amount: up to $2,000 / $2,500 / $2,750 per payout period, with the balance after the withdrawal at or above $50,100 / $100,100 / $150,100. Consistency: no single day above 30% of total profit, calculated over at least 4 trading days.

On the 100K Cash account, the $103,700 threshold means $3,700 of total profit, so the best day can be as large as $1,110 (30% of $3,700). The firm's own example runs the other way: a $330 day fits inside the rule once total profit reaches $1,100. A $2,500 request at the threshold leaves a $101,200 balance, which clears the $100,100 floor.

The split is flat at 80% on Fundamental and steps up on Premium: 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, then 100% from the fifth payout. Applied to four equal $2,000 withdrawals, Fundamental pays the trader $6,400 (four times $1,600) and Premium $6,600 ($1,500 plus $1,600 plus $1,700 plus $1,800). A fifth $2,000 payout adds $1,600 on Fundamental and $2,000 on Premium.

Two routes to a live account

Express to Live has its own steps. After the evaluation is passed, the account converts to a funded Cash account with the same rules, and the trader reaches the profit target again there. Per the Rules page, pressing Switch to Live then credits a fixed bonus to the Phidias Wallet, subject to the 80/20 split: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 on the 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K size (the Terms of Use say the bonus is credited when the target is reached on the Cash account). No withdrawal request, minimum trading days or balance threshold applies, and the transition adds a live account credit of $500 / $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000. The live account then pays 80% every day with no maximum and a $500 minimum, and its $122 monthly fee is shown as waived. On the 50K, the two stages together need $5,000 of target profit ($2,500 twice) under a static $650 drawdown.

Fundamental and Premium follow a different path. The Rules page makes the live transition discretionary: a trader becomes eligible for consideration after 5 successful payouts or $100,000 in cumulative profits across all accounts, and Phidias initiates the move. The Terms of Use leave the final decision with the risk management team and fix the live split at 80% / 20% whatever level the Cash account reached. The Phidias 2.0 launch page words the $100,000 threshold as payouts on one account, so the pages differ on that detail.

Verdict

Phidias Prop Firm fits futures traders who want no daily loss limit and a choice between a small-room static account and a larger trailing one. Express to Live suits a trader who sizes by dollars at risk: $650 of static drawdown on the 50K, a $278 evaluation fee and a bonus path to a live account. Fundamental suits a day trader who is flat by 9:59 PM UTC. Premium suits a trader who holds overnight, wants requests every 5 trading days and values a split that reaches 100% on the fifth payout.
